1. About Rate My CFI

Rate My CFI ("we," "us") operates a platform where users share ratings, reviews, and information about flight schools, certified flight instructors (CFIs), and designated pilot examiners (DPEs). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. Rate My CFI is not affiliated with the FAA.

2. User content

You are responsible for the content you post, including reviews, comments, forum posts, gouges, and profile information. By posting, you represent that your content reflects your genuine first-hand experience and complies with our Review Guidelines.

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content on the platform. You retain ownership of your content and may delete it at any time.

3. Reviews are opinions

Reviews and ratings reflect the opinions and experiences of individual users, not the views of Rate My CFI. We do not verify the accuracy of user content and are not responsible for it. We provide tools for profile subjects to respond to and report reviews.

4. Prohibited conduct

You may not post false, defamatory, harassing, or unlawful content; impersonate others; post fake or paid reviews; scrape or bulk-download site data; attempt to manipulate ratings; or use the site to violate any law or regulation. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.

5. Not professional advice

Content on this site, including AI-generated answers and checkride gouges, is for general information only and is not flight instruction, legal advice, or a substitute for official FAA guidance. Always consult current FAA regulations and a qualified instructor.

6. Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the billing period. Prices may change with notice.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rate My CFI is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content.
